hehe... yes, it DID sound rude... but we won't judge you on it (yet)
I prefer lovey-cuddly pets... the type you can have sleep on your chest at night without worry of rolling over and squishing them :P

I slept with my ferret all the time.
Wait.. that didn't sound right...
Reguardless. Ferrets aren't the loveycuddly type in the same way as skunks. But they are very emotional, affectionate, and unquenchable curious critters.

ALL animals were one wild. If I want a pet skunk, I'll get one. I know it's a lot different, and that's fine, but I've had enough experience with cats (like, all 21 1/2 years of my life), so I can do all the neccessary loving techniques required for raising and looking after them.
Another thing about ferrets... females die if they go into heat and can't find a mate and (from what I'm aware) they can't be defanged, lest they're unable to eat (which is usually quite a bad thing)...

Because, as I explained to my friend in NJ (whom I wish to move in with),
someone suggested Chinchillas or ferrets. Now, I've been around chinchillas
a little as my aunt had a couple of them when I was younger. They're WAY too
energetic for my liking (and yes, I know skunks are that sort of way when
young, but at least they grow out of it, chinchillas don't). As for
ferrets... well... they scare me. They're too slinky-like and agile. My
mom's friend had a few and I've never got on with rodents (rabbits, mice...
gerbils... etc). Ferrets are just as creepy to me as anything like that.
Skunks on the other hand are more cat-like, in both size (compared to a
ferret) and cuddle-ness. I wouldn't trust a ferret to sleep next to me
without a barrier of some sort being between us.

Wild animals, (and that includes skunks,) can *NOT* be fully domesticated,
anecdotal stories to the contrary.
Get a cat, ferrets are ok if you don't mind hyperactive kittens that go into
a coma. <G>
