I've had encounters like that in the woods. I like skunks. They're
non-agressive. They're laid back. If you aren't doing something that
they think is scary, they will ignore you.
People do keep domestic bred skunks as pets and the standard stripped
skunk isn't always black on white. Skunks come a blonds, brunettes and
red heads just like humans. Black on white is just more common.
