For my part, I've always had a certain draw toward animals and such --
I've thought about it before, but I have a hard time pinning down a
particular defining moment or work. Even before I'd heard of "furry",
Becky Cunningham and Minerva Mink were hot, gryphons were awesome, and
Jeremy Thatcher, Dragon Hatcher gave me fantasies. (Not THOSE kinds of
fantasies -- I was like 12 at the time.) Growing up, I simply
gravitated toward furry stuff for as long as I can remember.
My "gateway drug", as it were, was The Lion King. After watching it,
I started going on that newfangled intarweb thing to find fanfic, art,
and so on. One day I stumbled onto a reference to TLK MUCK, played
there for a while, then someone mentioned this "Furry MUCK" thing...
