I go back in to the eye doctor on the 27th. I know she wants to do
a repeat operation on the left eye, since the retina is wrinkled and
detached on some spots, but I can't have that done now, since such an
operation would leave the door open for infection to set in if I got
the call for the transplant again. I can't have any wounds or
infections at the time of surgery because my immune system will be
reduced to almost nothing with all the anti-rejection drugs they'll
have to give me.
Besides, the left eye has a paralyzed pupil now. It's not good for
anything more than partial peripheral vision when I'm riding or
driving. The right eye still has some bleeding in it, but it's not
too much. Just enough to make my vision "dirty".
