Yeah, they've really gotta hustle once it's out of the body. The
pancreas especially, that organ is such a royal pain. It's less a
distinct organ, and more a sort of watery goo that more or less stays
in one elongated blob, held together largely by all the different
ducts running through it.

I became intimately familiar with the little bastards after quite a
few rodent dissections, where we were harvesting organs. bleh.
