Server side is honestly the best way to implement features.
In any case, PHP should be on most servers, you dont need to install
it, as Im sure Jim isn't renting an entire server to himself, but a
hosting package.
Most hosting packages use CPanel these days, when you log in, its just
clicking on the mime types icon which says "mime types". :P
