I think some of those folks are having a hard time believing any of
that because: A) I do not have any kind of online journal where I
list the events of each day of my life. Who the fuck has time for
something as pointless as that?, B) Outside of the anthropomorphic
artwork, I have almost no involvement in the actual fandom element.
I don't have any "furry friends"; most of my friends are bikers or
mechanics. I don't partake in most "furry events", it simply isn't
something that interests me. C) My personal life is kept personal.
As such, most online people have to either make shit up, put 2 and 2
together to come up with 5, or completely jumble whatever facts were
once out there.

As for Des, no, that's not her real name. Yes, I have known her
since high school. And yes, a lot of "real life" information will be
posted about both of us, including plenty of photos for any Doubting
Thomases out there, when the Skunkworks site is up. I am hoping to
have it all completed before this year is over, though a 2-week bike
trip to Florida and 2 more gallery shows might tack another 2-3 weeks
onto that.

So don't worry, man. We'll be sure to remove all the mystery of
the pseudonym situation (it's gotten really old, anyhow) very soon.
The best part, for me anyway, will be revealing the truth to all the
folks who are so dead certain it's all been a ruse. It's a little
juvenile, true, but there's nothing wrong with having some juvenile
fun from time to time. ;P

--JMH, tired of turning wrenches for the day. If I wasn't making a
500-mile bike trip way the hell out to St. Louis on Tuesday, I
wouldn't be bothering with it, but time is kind of at a premium right
now, and I've got to make sure the bike checks out 100% for the
ride. Just exercising some caution...
