dan directly, i honestly feel your doing what many "furs" seem to do, or any treky-type geekish persona in general. everyone trying to one up each other by talking out their rear :)
my comment isnt to try and "pretend i know better than you" or "be on a high horse". it was advice to younger artists and fans, out of slight concern at words passing by that i happened upon while deleting spam. these issues are not something i "study", they are something i practice. i deal with these issues face to face in offices and the homes of others.
there are susddenly tons of people popping up with 'their say", but my words were only to try and help clear up confusion. if at anypoint, anyone here feels i have misinformed you, then please by all means, look it up. i seriously suggest everyone does so. it is a rather important subject that people seem to overlook, until they unfortunately come across an event in their life that causes them to learn the hard way.
if your here to enjoy the act of arguing and debating, youve found the wrong guy. thats not what im here for. and if your trying to make it look to everyone as if you know what your talking about and i am a dunce, you are wasting only your own time.
to everyone reading this i strongly suggest that you dont beleive a word i say, and dont beleive a word dan or anyone else here say. instead please, review the information, and find out from official sources, before any actions within the subject are taken. educate yourself by looking it up. dont take anyone elses "word for it" including my own :)
and for the "codswallop" person who recently posted... er, the 60s are over, even i dont talk like that. your plainly trying to defend piracy. and the situation is much more simple: whether the owner of a product is losing money or not, taking from them without compensating what they ask in return, is not ok. and laws have been created in an attempt to protect anyone and everyone, who has created something and wants to assure that when they share, they are compensated. period. no preservatives added, none taken away.
i hope the smart ones will go and find the information they need from relyable official sources, while the rest stay here and argue on a message board like some sort of "joo-vin-nile lulz world-of-warcraft geek" ;)
