My opinon for what its worth based on my observation of human interraction on the topic of interspecies relation and mixing of races. I suspect in a furry world mixing would only occur within animal groups with similar traits and size like rodents, reptiles, avians, etc. Countries or continents would be made up by these groups much like our world is. It would not be common to see an elephant in a country of rodents like mice and rabbits except as tourists or for diplomatic reasons. There might be a few countries with some diversity like say the USA or England, but most would tend to remain among their own kind. Now body language was mentioned as a potential problem, however, much of that is cultural for species of higher intelligence and less from instinct. That doesn't mean there won't be misunderstandings, just less of it within a society that is more heavily mixed that is used to the diversity.
