I had to read the post you were responding to again in order to get
that. Took me a second there. ;P
I use different media for different pictures. This one features
Prismacolor markers and pencils. I also use gouache, charcoal,
pastels and (rarely) watercolors.
I'll probably try another scan. My scanner seems to be making it
too rough looking, and there are several subtle colors and shades
missing. But hell, this scanners over 10 years old, man, so I guess I
shouldn't expect too much!

Thanks, man. A lot of the female characters I have don't
necessarily wear "hair" (most, like Veronika, keep the fur on top of
their heads short). But, yes, the "hair" that these critters have is
really nothing more than long fur (for example, Natasha's hair, while
long, actually starts above her brow line and stops at her shoulders.
But it's cut in a way to appear as if it is just long hair from the
scalp region).
I reckon I'll try another scan tomorrow. That system is currently
undergoing it's nightly scan, so I don't mess with it until all that
noise is done with.
