Hmm, you should take her to a con sometime, the artists in the dealer's
room there can be quite inspiring, as well as the workshops. The Tin
Artist Alley at FC is a good way to explore artistic creativity, the
local con might have it, too. Check for a house party - I'm lucky to go
to the monthly house party hosted by Sylys Sable here in Southern
California - lots of art being done there. Rick and Tess are doing
something like that in their little Washington island. I have never been
there, it might be similar to what they did when they were in SoCal
before they moved.
And yes, anatomy takes a key role. Human, animal and natural anatomy are
seen in Jim's work (Not to mention mechanical detail of vehicles, too,) and
Des excels in detailed cartoon styles.
There is a scholarship for anthro artists - I picked up some papers on
the leaflet table at the FurCon. Let me dig through the pile I got -
could be buried with the duplicate conbooks I grabbed at the end of the
con.
