A chan board is a picture or other things sharing place
Generally its 'let us rip artists off and post their stuff/ sites so
most published works end up there
But some artists post their own work too as it does get to many people
that way
Likely it still has little chance to act as good advertising for selling
art since most the times its buy one post for everyone
And then there is the flame wars
Some love to talk bad about artists, while at the same time they
obviously collect all their works
And the picture photoshoping or other editing
Sometimes its pretty good, other times well you cant unsee it!
Some of the boards have people who try hard to post the worst they can
just to get reactions
But some boards actually have helpful people who can help you ID art and
find the artists
fchan is a popular one, but they are quite numerous, likely some
googling will find tons of them
