Well, I already found a tablet for sell online for $39.39, which two of my commissions could cover. If I find a new one when I have the money I could always sell of the older tablet. But the tablet's mostly going to be used to create game sprites. I can already clean up my artwork using GIMP and a mouse. Digital coloring might be a nice thing someday, but I deal with that so rarely as my main medium is traditional, doing everything by hand.

buying something in exchange) for the Intuos 3 (benefit of buying from a
friend), but looking back at the money I wasted on the earlier tablets, I should
have gone straight from my Intuos 1 that I was given years ago to the Intuos 3
and not wasted money on the cheap Medion tablet that I ended up taking to work
(since that is about all it was good for) or the half-step Intuos 2. If I
hadn't bought those, I'd have paid the Intuos 3 off already.
Check around online, it could be that delaying slightly to save a bit more could
indeed save you a lot in the long run!
Scrapper, Black Dragon, figure out what you _really_ want, plan it out and go
for it!

Drawing tablets certainly make digital drawing a lot easier! Be a little wary
of what you are buying your drawing tablet for, else you may quickly out-grow
it. ...
