There is one very simple piece of advice for folks who think they might
want to get a tablet other than a Wacom:

Doesn't matter how cheap it is, or how much it crows about how good it
thinks it is. Anything other than a Wacom will make you a Sad Person™.
Not only will you be a Sad Person™, but you will also be out the cost of
the craptastic tablet that you got because it wasn't a Wacom and you
thought it would be a good idea. The only thing I have ever seen
Not-Wacom tablets being good for is to give people a comparison between
a Wacom tablet and Everything Else. Subject yourself to the misery of a
Not-Wacom tablet and you will always be kicking yourself forever more (I
still am a decade later).
So resist the urge to get something cheap. Get Wacom.
