One method is for the suits to provide cooling for extended periods of fighting, as well as providing armor of sorts. Like a liquid-cooled battle-suit. I can see it, and it's not like the tech's unavailable to us, here, now. Also, certain fabrics also provide a cooling effect, though only if the person in it sweats through the skin.
And alternativly, for the scaleys, the suit can be temp controlled to provide heating or cooling as needed.
