Take it from one who has worn prosthetic masks, talking is a bitch. The voice
and speech is different. You have to elongate your jaw to be understood. its a
whole new way of speaking. Just think of Roddy McDowell from his Apes movies.


True, very true. but you got to remember that a prosthetic mask is just that a
mask. It isn't flesh and blood, muscle and bone. If ones jaw was elongated as in
a muzzle and sported bifurcate lips one would be able to speak rather well.
Think of wearing a mask, even the best of masks, as if you were returning home
from the dentist, lips all numb.
