You are absolutely correct. Putting in http://aaa.bbb.ccc.ddd will not work
on any multi-home server as that server needs to know the name of the site
you are trying to get so it will know what site to show you.

If it is a DNS issue, knowing the IP can help. You would add the
appropriate entry in your hosts file, then use the name and that should
work.

I can't view the site at all.

However, after doing an NSLOOKUP to get the IP Address, then editing my
hosts file, I can view the site.

Here is some interesting test results:

C:\Users\Rhudi>nslookup www.cantsncameras.com

Server: vnsc-pri.sys.gtei.net

Address: 4.2.2.1

*** vnsc-pri.sys.gtei.net can't find www.cantsncameras.com: Non-existent
domain

C:\Users\Rhudi>nslookup

Default Server: vnsc-pri.sys.gtei.net

Address: 4.2.2.1

> catsncameras.com

Server: vnsc-pri.sys.gtei.net

Address: 4.2.2.1

Here is what I added:

67.213.223.162 www.catsncameras.com

67.213.223.162 catsncameras.com

You're assuming the average person knows how to get that, or that it would
help. Putting in http://ipaddress/cnc will not work because it's a vhost on
the server.

People who can actually -do- anything with the IP know how to get it.

For example, the GTEI NS finds it just fine. So a DNS cache flush and
resetting your DNS servers to 4.2.2.1 and 4.2.2.2 will get you there with no
problem. Also, notably, if you do not know how to do that, already, trying
to do it based on any directions anybody here could give you could result in
a complete loss of network connectivity, which would suck.

I haven't had any trouble, but I wish that someone would just give up the IP
