Good work Jim;
This is a cover or panel from the upcoming comics or just a single illustration?
Don't you hate how putting in all the dark backgrounds tends to just trash your markers? A friend of mine uses good quality markers for inking the characters, but then uses cheap 'box markers' for just filling in the background. His theory is they are cheap, fill the area quickly, fade after a while, but if the output will be going digital, then who cares of the cheap original ink job fades once it has 'gone to press'? Only need the good pens for getting quality of line.
Lots of detail with all the body fur, plus plenty of background detail, as usual! Who are those guys in hats lurking in the windows of the building??? Up to something, I'll bet! :-)
Does show with the auctions that if you look at dollars returned for the amount of time taken to sell them (you were going to draw them anyway, so that doesn't count), it is probably not a too bad a return for your efforts. Helps offset the costs of art supplies!
JMH "Yeah, well I trashed four pens doing this piece I sold for $50..."
Fanboy "That doesn't sound too bad..."
JMH "Except the pens are like $15 each..."
Scrapper, Black Dragon, who is having more problems with pens drying up from lack of use... :-(
