I think she was just embracing him, if I remember correctly. That particular
portfolio series had enough sketches for 2-3 more "Mixed Breeds" folios, but
once I realized the snafu created by having the anthropomorphic characters
posing with (nonexistent) humans, I dropped the rest of the folio ideas and just
chalked that one up as an oddity.
