As for the "end of the world" and things like the Mayan calendar (and other prophecies), most don't predict the "total destruction" of the world, just that "the world as we know it will be destroyed /changed" so no it aint gonna just go POOF in December right after by birthday. It has already changed to a point where many no longer recognize it as it is today. Don't think so? Just ask your grand parents if their grandparents would have recognized this world as it is NOW! and you'll see that "they" barley recognize it "now" much less their grandparents because of the new technology, and the pace it has been progressing.

same as older computers only goal from 0 too 99 and when Irving rolled back to
00 nothing happened. Programmers didn't expect that stuff to still be in use far
enough down the line to require more than two digits. The Mayan calendar is the
same way. At some point they just didn't keep going because obviously they
didn't see any need to.I can't believe how many people seem to think that
December is the last month, yada yada yada. I'm beginning to wonder what will
people's next excuse be for time and place of the hand of the world . When
December passes. ---- David Ewell <kuchadude1_at_yahoo.com> wrote:
