It was brought to light that the mayan calender was mixed up with another ancient civilization's calender to get the hokum that is supposed to happen(and won't).

People often need some stupid thing to believe in to have something to be afraid of. It's a stupid fact, but it's happened time and time again about some stupid Doom's Day theory that never comes to life.

same as older computers only goal from 0 too 99 and when Irving rolled back to
00 nothing happened. Programmers didn't expect that stuff to still be in use far
enough down the line to require more than two digits. The Mayan calendar is the
same way. At some point they just didn't keep going because obviously they
didn't see any need to.I can't believe how many people seem to think that
December is the last month, yada yada yada. I'm beginning to wonder what will
people's next excuse be for time and place of the hand of the world . When
December passes.
