Sorry to hear this but the facts of life say the gigs that pays the bills takes precedence over these hobbies.

Subject: [SkunkworksAMA] Just dropped in (to see what condition my condition was in).
And props to those who recognize that phrase without resorting to Google.
Got a few jobs that have kept me slammed for the past many weeks. The good news is that I'll be finished with the last two by early next week. The reason for taking on these jobs? By doing them, I'll be able to afford to essentially take 4-6 weeks off from any other work and will be able to focus on the anthropomorphic stuff that has been sitting on the back burner so long it's practically dried out.
I'm not a multi-tasker. If there are too many pans in the fire, something's gonna get forgotten. I do not have the ability to jump from one job to another and then back again at a moment's notice. It results in severe scatter-brainitis.
Since I'm not going to be making any money with the anthro stuff (commissions for Kickstarter, pillows), it was necessary to get a large enough amount of money to carry me through 2-3 months of "not working" (actually, working but not getting money). The money that folks paid for the commissions was given right back to AVP to help their publishing. I will most likely do the same thing with future sales of dakimakuras as well. Anything to help Angry Viking stay out of the red and help take a little load off Jason's shoulders.
So here's my plan...I get paid for these last two jobs, take a day to chill (probably go on a ride to nowhere), then finish the background on the last dakimakura picture, take a couple photos of them before posting a preview online, get master copies made of them, and then ship the originals out for processing and printing. All that will probably take a day or two. I'm going to scope out a place to copy them on Monday.
After that, I'm going to hit those Kickstarter commissions. Sketches have been finished on the first one; a final rough sketch will be sent out to the first customer probably by Friday or Saturday of next week (maybe earlier). With no other distractions (having to work on other art crap), I'm pretty confident I can get most of the commissions finished before I have to head back to the grind (which will slow things down a little). I know some folks had listed what mediums they wanted used for their commissions, and some of those are fairly quick to produce.
For anyone who has tried to reach me via my Gmail account, I misplaced my password and the "back-up" account it was linked to has been dead for awhile. I have the passwords of all my various accounts written in a small notebook, but a current relocation of furniture has caused a few things to get misplaced/shuffled around. A 15-foot by 7-foot wall unit is being installed in the bedroom, and a lot of stuff was moved out of there into the office to make it easier to get the monstrosity assembled. Again, scatter-brainitis.
I've also got an idea about some future artwork, and the possible availability of it, but I'll bounce that off you guys after I get started on these commissions.
I'll be back on tap next week for a good duration. I'm not dead, but there is a method to this apparent madness. ;-)
I will also start putting up some auctions next week/this upcoming weekend. I have a literal ton of stuff to put up, so announcements will be made about that when I have the material ready to put up for auction. My account is updated at Furbuy, so it looks like everything is a green light from this end.
This message is being posted to my FA and IB accounts. I'm not posting it to Weasyl because I have nothing on there at this time.
