Hello Lily. I think most peoples first introductions to "Anthro" would probably have been Bugs Bunny and crew (or maybe Tiny Toons for some of the younger members). That said, my first real intro to a more Adult themed anthro anything would have been "Fritz the Cat" and "Omaha the Cat Dancer" (dating myself a little here, but o'well).
Now it's artists like Jim, Max, Gnaw, and Terry Smith (to name a few) that keep me following the community. There is a bit of a anthro-community here where I live, but they are a fairly "low-key" bunch, so I can't say I'm a active member, but I stay a lurker (not the type to put on ears and a tail, but the tats seem to make ppl ask lots of questions... the odd time someone sees them anyways). Don't know if that answers your question at all, but it's my 2 bits. Going back to the shadows now. Welcome to the group and the family :)
Cheers
TJ
