That statement about humans being to soft... It makes me think, what about those like me that are injured by accident that is beyond anyone's control? Like the one that caused me the sever back injures I now suffer from, Do they have the same attitude toward the handicapped as in the animal kingdom?  From what I comprehend of the animal kingdom they are generally killed off very fast & early on. Is there anything like disability insurance for the handicapped & retraining etc in there world like there is here? & illicit drugs, how are they handled? Are the abusers helped, cleaned up &  rehabilitated? or is it more like the animal kingdom & there are considered like the other violent criminals & killed off early & fast? I only ask cause it is a sad fact that it will become an eventuality that I will no longer be able to use pain mediation to handle my pain & do to the fact that I refuse to accept the substandard surgicalstandards that are so barbaric for
the people like me that suffer from injures like mine now & the rather poor chance I have of the long term survival with my income (or lack thereof) in a reduced pain level & still retaining my current level of mobility is so poor that I have little or no choice but to refuse the surgery until such time as it becomes necessary to slowly remove me from all drug therapy for the pain & be forced to take the risky surgery & do non drug therapy's in place of them, & risk the extreme chance of death by infection due to the blood flow issues caused by yet another medical condition that I suffer from that I have to ask... Would they even allow someone like me to live? Or would I simply be put to a Kevorkian like kind of death that would be normal & widely accepted in there society? I know that Dr. Kevorkian he felt like that it was OK when it became bad enough that it was sometimes simply to painful to prolong the torture any further...  I mean would there be
pain management clinics that use drug therapy's? Or would they simply be allowed to do a Kevorkian style suicide?

Just remember...
I don't eat nuts, as it would be Cannibalism! & I hate being Bi-Polar, IT’S AWESOME!!!!
Hey why use a small word when a diminutive or miniscule one will work just as well??
LOL!

>Their society is pretty strict when it comes to matters like that.  Plus, given that anyone strolling down the street is likely being seen or recorded by half a dozen cameras at any given time, and you've got the makings for a fairly short trial!
>
>In any case, heinous crimes (murder, rape, or any crime which could cause harm to large groups of people) generally result in death sentences, but only if PROVEN beyond the shadow of a doubt.  Most other crimes (theft, assault, minor crimes in which no one is greatly harmed) result in incarceration, which is nothing life the crap we have here.  There's no lounge, weight room, library or cable television in the jails on that world.  Think of it more as "indentured servitude to the State".  Once the sentence is up, the violator is free to return to society.
>
>If there is sufficient evidence to prove that someone did a heinous act (multiple witnesses, physical evidence, video documentation, etc), and a sentence of death is handed down, then the convicted generally has a few weeks before he or she is put to death.  Troublemakers in their world, just as in nature, are usually punished by the rest of the group/society.
