Ok.. this discussion has gone a LONG way from the original subject line.. Can we please move this to a new thread? It honestly pains me to repeatedly see the RIP Jim subject.. unlike a lot of you he was a close personal friend of mine. Please start a new thread for this.. thank..

Actually I was thinking of the fact that a city's traffic patterns would change and having public transportation along one route would become obsolete while said transportation along another would be the new necessity. Trolley tracks would have to be relocated at great expense; a bus could simply be directed to go down the other street.
