In the Skunkworks world, humans were long extinct - too weak, soft and tasty to compete in a furry dominated world. The human Jim was for 'comic effect' - someone who spent most of his time suffering or yelling; as opposed to the porcupine Jim who was supposed to exist in the regular Skunkworks world.

With Jim's application, species did not cross-breed; they largely complied to the breeding rules as found for natural animals on earth in our world. Not every species was represented and some that do not exist in our world do (dragons, for example).

The Chakat universe has the benefit of the creator spending a large amount of time writing the background information to help define how everything works. Which reminds me, I really must drop Goldfur a line - it has been a few years...

Scrapper, Black Dragon, remembering how he promised in the last email to JMH that he would continue to try and run the group and answer questions as best he could...

PS - not gone, just often busy with RL.... S,BD.
