With the exception of a couple of Slappy pics, Jim didn’t do any copyrighted characters under his own name. Des served as a name under which he could publish the various carebear, dragon tales, etc stuff he didn’t want to otherwise be connected with.

I can not say one way or the other if Des is a real person or not. I can say though that if she is, I like herself, have drifted from the community over the years. I still think positively about the Anthro Community, but find it more and more difficult to identify with as I once did. We all change in different ways eventually, heck even people like Max Black Rabbit have seemed to drift away slowly. Call it life, call it change in perspective, call it whatever you like, times change... for better and for worse. Jimbo's death hit hard for a lot of us. I know from personal experience how hard it hit those he loved and called family/friend. If indeed Des is out there (as I choose to believe she is), I am sure his passing hit harder than most can imagine. My thoughts still travel to a time that I had a chance to meet and talk with Jim, and it will always be a positive memory.

Maybe not the answer anyone is looking for, but it is the only one I can think of. I will continue to ask Athena to take care of those left behind, Des and Jimbo's family included.

There's actually been a lot of speculation going around the internet that Desiree Lee was in fact Jim himself but just using an alter-ego to post as online. As well, a lot of folks think that he was also posting as "Bullet Soup" for a while. Mostly because no one has posted as Des or B.S. since Jim's death anywhere... which sort of also leads to this conclusion.
