I am the first to be suspicious of people "passing the basket" for
donations, and that is why when it was suggested that we have a
charity event for JMH at ConFurence, I directed Glen Wooten to contact
Jim directly and ask official permission.
During our Staff Meeting on April 20, Jim called Glen's cellphone to
give us the okay... it just so happens that this was about 30 seconds
into my explaining to the staff that we are not going to plan anything
until we hear back from him... then I was able to stretch out that
part of the meeting until Glen walked back inside to give us the word.
