Opinions are the driving force behind everything even if you cannot see
that. But maybe that is why he won? Regardless, maybe he was not required to
write the essay in the format, same as yours, I was taught to write them in.
I still have my paper on Radiation and Time, sitting on my hard drive from
over a year and seven months ago. I know the time because it is dated on the
front cover of it.

Why mention it? Well my thesis was "How long does it take for radiation to
affect the genetic code". My research scared the crap out of me in some
ways, and also amazed me. If anything I learned that it would be possible to
create a "furry mutant". The thing is the odds are so stacked against any
animal surviving said changes to their bodies via mutation. And if it was a
generational change somewhere down the line the new life form may end up
sterile due to unstable DNA and RNA.

For some reason now, I think I can write a movie script. Heh.

I hope you don't mind a little criticism here.
I'm glad that your essay won, and that you even wrote in the first place
shows that you are at least above average intelligence. ( I can't even
remember the last time I wrote an essay.. :p) Good Job.
  Now for the critique...
The paper does not really seem to have a point, other than furs try to
follow the Golden Rule. I was always taught that when writing an essay or
paper, first you lay out your thesis ( or the point you plan to make) and
then give supporting reasons either in favor or not. Most of your essay is
based on your opinion, and there is nothing wrong with that. I was just
under the impression that it was something different based on the way you
started your essay.
Please don't take the criticism the wrong way. Continue to write, at least
you are one of us out there that is not afraid to show that you have an
education. :)
I have met plenty of people who were to lazy to actually write something
and use their brain.
I have no idea where I'm going with this....
