What if they don't own the characters they draw what then? Their stealing
as well.

Well Dr. Comet has an issue with people posting his artwork, probably
because he's a professional artist and most professional artists, even when
they do fan stuff, dont' like their adult works shown to the public. Wookiee
was the same way until his parents died. Shawntae Howard doesn't like it
because it's difficult to control your Intellectual Property if it's spread
all over the net.

I do have one problem with one person's POV on this issue.

Jim has every right to want to protect his creations, because they are
his

    HOWEVER...

"Dr Comet" draws superbly, but nearly all of his pictures are of
copyrighted
    characters already.
Krystal from "Starfox," many anime characters, Colleen from "Road
Rovers,"
    etc.

Yet Dr Comet raises holy heck if anyone posts his fanart of those
    copyrighted characters.
    I'm a co-moderator of a Krystal fangroup, and we've deleted Comet
pictures
of Krystal as soon as we got them, since we don't want Comet to gripe to
Yahoo and then Yahoo makes our group disappear.
(This actually has happened to other groups)

As to lulz.net, they are a bunch of hiding-behind-the keyboard weenies.
