It's called Satire and fair use.
I'm reminded of the song Amish Paradise by Weird Al Yankovic. Coolio never gave his permission to parody his song, but since Weird Al sited the song and gave credit to Coolio for the base song there was nothing that Coolio could do about it.
If the artists claimed that the characters were theirs then it would be stealing, and they would be delt with.
The fact is you didn't buy the pics on those sites, you bought the right to VIEW them. You don't have the right to say where they are posted for the sheer fact that you do not own the pictures.
What if they don't own the characters they draw what then?
Their stealing as well.
