It appears you have an extremely poor understanding of copyright law - it would probably pay to go and visit some of the relevant sites and do a fair bit of reading.
You can make a copy so you have a backup just-in-case, but you can not GIVE the copy to anyone. If it is kept at your friend's house for safe-keeping, then they are not allowed to use it; it should be strictly an off-site backup. This is the same for software you purchase. You are allowed to have a single backup in case the original is destroyed. Ideally you put the original away and use the copy, as I tend to do with CDs in my car. People are less likely to steal copies and you don't worry so much if they are left in the glove box on a hot day, or someone doesn't put them back in their case properly.
