Well, I got one system back up and running. Fresh install of the OS, plus a reinstallation of previous programs and fonts and such. The new system seems to be having a Windows program issue. Checking with Microsoft, the "restart after shutdown" problem indicated a problem with the Windows program and the machine was shutting down and then restarting when the conflict would arise. After uncheck the "Restart after shut-down" option, I got a blue screen with the "Bad Pool Header" notification, which was the same thing I got on the system I'm currently using. I'm going to reinstall the OS on the other system, as I believe that will fix the issue (there may have been file corruption due to an inability to complete the registration when the computer was first turned on). I'll be working on that tonight, I suppose...
