I'm not sure but I think they never reached any level of tech. It was said back in prehistoric times the event that allowed us to evolve to what we are now, never happened and the other species 'removed' our ancient ancestors and we never came to be.

If humans ever existed on their world what level of technology did they reach before their extinction? Was the extinction level even that caused the demise of humans ever discovered. Did any complete skeletons of humans still exist even in fossil form? Were there any intelligent furries evolving along with human at the time of humans or did furries evolve after humans left the scene? Was it one event that killed all humans or a perfect storm of a collection of events that did them all in? It doesn't really matter. If I went into their version of the Museum of Natural History, would i see a fragment of a jawbone of a human with pictures speculation what such a creature would look like or would I see a complete skeleton? If you want to leave it a mystery that ok. But the whole idea of the demise of humanity does tease the imagination. :)
