No, I don't think it took that long to draw it, haha!
And yeah, I got burned out on the porn thing years ago. It's a very niche thing, and it's difficult to keep your stated boundaries intact and uncrossed as more and more people come into the genre, many of them bringing new fetishes they want you to draw. And yet, despite all this apparent new talent in the "furry" fandom these days, I haven't seen anyone churn out a really good, serious book that focuses on anthropomorphic characters instead of furry fetishes. I'll admit, drawing porn is much easier than crafting a good story or creating interesting characters, but what good is creativity if you don't challenge yourself? ;-)
As for Onyx's hair, she also grew the black sides out (which she normally cut off, giving her the mohawk style she had previously). Her hair is just like Valencia's.
