And, regarding doing new things with Bach, yes, we do. Look up ‘Wendy Carlos’.

We can have new ideas, hell, there's plenty of wonderful original artists still alive, like Terrie Smith or Michelle Light, etc.
That's not the point to me, I don't know about anyone else, but I want to keep him and his memory and work alive, because I loved his art, I loved him and I loved his characters.
I made a fb page for this very reason; https://www.facebook.com/pages/James-M-Hardiman-Memorial-page/282226631967666
And another of his friends is an admin as well.
The point is, I'll never be able to "move on"
It doesn't work that way, I'd imagine everyone else who cared about Him would agree.
This isn't about restricting new ideas, we still listen to Bach don't we?
And none of us ever knew him.
How much more so for someone we knew and loved...?

I think we should all move on. We can't be doing anything except remember Jim as he was.
I was saddened by his passing, and was originally interested in preserving his creations.
However, by working to preserve a deceased person's ideas, we are restricting ourselves from creating our own ideas.
I mean, nobody makes music in the name of Bach, right?
If you want to make new smut fan art, make it with current popular characters, like: this:
